Itinerary

Day 1 : ARRIVAL – BALIKPAPAN – TENGGARONG – MAHAKAM (D)

On arrival at Sepinggan International Airport Aji M. Sulaiman, collect the luggage then board on the bus and tranfer to Tenggarong City take about 3,5 hours driving. Arrive in Lojanan and immediately board on the house boat  On the way up to Muara Muntai you'll enjoy the scenery Mahakam river and Sunset along the river. Evening after dinner arrive Afterwards return to the house boat then continue cruise up the Mahakam river to Muara Muntai. Dinner and overnight on the boat

Day 2 : MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG - TANJUNG ISUY (B,L,D)

Wake early morning, and enjoy the Sunrise along the Mahakam river. After breakfast short sight seeing arround the Muara Muntai Village to see the activity of local people and local market Then board on the Motorized canoe and across the Jempang Lake by passing the Jantur fishermen vilalge. If the water level permit will continue up the Ohong river through Ohong Fishermen village which is the house built on the water (floating house). Along the river to Mancong you'll see many of the Kingfisher, Long tail maccaque, Fresh water Eagle, Snake and proboscis monkey. Arrive in Mancong visit the Grand Long House of Dayak Banuaq and the Totem Pole. Then down the river continue to Tanjung House. Arrive in Tanjung Isuy proceed to check in at Dayak Longhouse for your accommodation. Evening a welcome ceremony will held by the chief of Dayak. Dinner and overnight in Dayak Long House.

Day 3 : TANJUNG ISUY – MUARA MUNTAI – MINTA – MUARA PAHU – MELAK (B,L,D)

Morning after breakfast check out from the Long House then board on the motorized canoe return to Muara Muntai and upon arrival board on the house boat and cruise up the Mahakam river to Minta Village to see the local people how to make palm Sugar. Afterwards continue to Muara Pahu and along the river we can observe the wild life of Fresh Water Dolphin (if you lucky), black Monkey in the afternoon. Evening arrive in Melak, the boat will stop and overnight. Meals provided

Day 4 : MELAK – KERSIK LUWAY – MELAK – MAHAKAM RIVER (B,L,D)

Morning, after breakfast sight seeing at local market then transfer by car drive to Kersik Luway visit the Nature Black Orchid Forest take about 45 minutes. Afterwards, continue to Eheng visit the old Dayak Long house to see way of life. Then return to the boat and cruise down the river to Tenggarong.

Day 5 :TENGGARONG–MUSEUM MULAWARMAN–BALIKPAPAN - AIRPORT (B,L)

Morning arrive in Tenggarong, after breakfast visit the Museum Mularwarman formerly the Sultan Palace of Kingdom Kutai Kartanegara to see the Sultan's collection and the Royal Cemetery of Sultan Family. Then board on the boat and continue down the river to Loajanan and after lunch, transfer to Balikpapan.
